Natalia Kramar was born in Ukraine. After graduating from Lesya Ukraïnka East-European National University, she taught French at the Department of Roman and Classical Languages of her alma mater. During her eighteen-year long immigration to Canada, she conducted research on anglicisms in Quebec French at Trésor de la langue française au Québec, and she has gained a PhD in linguistics from Laval University and an MA in ancient philosophy from University of Montreal. Since 2018, Natalia lives in Paris, where she pursues her research in ancient philosophy (PhD gained from Sorbonne University in 2022, with the financial support of the Quebec Research Fund – Society and culture), and works at the Examination section of the Department of Law and Political Science of Paris Nanterre University. Her research in philosophy focuses on ancient ethics, politics, rhetoric, and emotions, and since Russian full-scale invasion in Ukraine in 2022, on these issues in relation to war and wartime.
