Lila Roldán Vázquez is an accomplished diplomat and scholar. She holds a Magister in European Communitarian Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.
Currently, she serves as the Secretary General and Head of Eurasian Studies at the Argentine Council for International Relations (C.A.R.I.), where she plays a key role in shaping discussions on global affairs.
Throughout her distinguished career in the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she has held several high-ranking positions, including Under-Secretary for Latin American Affairs, Director General for Foreign Policy, and Director of Political MERCOSUR. From 2007 to 2015, she served as Argentina’s Ambassador to Ukraine, fostering diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations. Additionally, she was the lead negotiator for the political pillar of the MERCOSUR-EU Agreement.
Her diplomatic career has also included postings at the Argentine Embassies in Mexico and Spain, as well as the General Consulate in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She has represented Argentina in numerous regional and multilateral organizations and has been a key participant in international conferences.
Beyond diplomacy, Roldán Vázquez has contributed to academia as a Professor of Public International Law at the National University of Buenos Aires. She is the author of various articles on international politics and has been an active speaker at seminars and conferences.
