Ihor Poshyvailo is the director of the National Museum of Revolution of Dignity (Maidan Museum) and curator of the “Destroyed Temples of Ukraine” exhibit. He holds a PhD in History (Ethnology) from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. A former chair of the Museum Council at the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture and of the ICOM International Committee on Disaster Resilient Museums, in response to the full-scale Russian invasion in February 2022 he became the initiator, co-founder, and coordinator of the Heritage Emergency Response Initiative (HERI) and a member of the National Council for the Recovery of Ukraine from the War.
