Andriy Kulykov has over 45 years of professional experience in journalism and adjacent fields, working for print, radio, and TV. His early years at the Soviet News from Ukraine newspaper gave him firsthand experience in the production of propaganda for international audiences. Post-independence, he worked for the BBC Ukrainian Service, the BBC World Trust project for reforming journalism education in Ukraine, and several leading Ukrainian TV channels. In 2013 he became a co-founder of the independent Hromadske Radio, as well as board chair of the “Hromadske Radio” NGO, and he currently heads the Commission for Journalism Ethics. Mr. Kulykov is a professional translator/interpreter between Ukrainian and English and has taught at two Ukrainian universities.
